Special tools required:

Remove/grind off collar (1) on special tool 12 1 171 See: Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Tools and Equipment/12 1 170 Spark Plug Tool (22
mm) otherwise tool cannot be inserted into spark plug shaft.
Remove spark plug connectors.
Release spark plugs with special tool 12 1 171 See: Powertrain Management/Ignition System/Tools and Equipment/12 1 170 Spark Plug Tool.
