Note:

Use special tool 32 3 110 See: Tools and Equipment/32 3 110 Releasing Tool to disengage lock (1).
The lock cylinder can then be withdrawn.

Removing and Installing/Replacing Interlock Cable

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove storage compartment See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Glove Compartment/Service and Repair/Removing and
Installing/Replacing Storage Compartment in Instrument Panel Trim (Driver's Side)

Remove lower section of steering column trim See: Service and Repair/Removing and Installing/Replacing Lower Section of Steering Column
Trim

-

Remove center console See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and Repair/Removing and Installing Front Center
Console.

After completing tasks adjust cable.

Release screw (1) and remove trim.
