Valve Body: Service and Repair

24 30 010 - Removing and installing/replacing hydraulic selector unit (AISIN)

Important!

After completion of work, check transmission fluid level See: Fluid - A/T/Service and Repair.
Make a note of drained ATF quantity.
Required replenishment quantity approx. 4.5 liters.

Important!

Use only the approved automatic transmission fluid in this automatic transmission.
Otherwise the automatic transmission may incur extensive damage!
Do not drain fluid before the transmission has cooled down.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove transmission fluid sump See: Fluid Pan/Service and Repair

Remove transmission oil strainer See: Fluid Filter - A/T/Service and Repair

Bend open retaining lugs (1) of hand valve lever.
Slacken nut (2).
Tightening torque: 24 11 17AZ See: Fluid Pan/Specifications.
Remove hand valve lever (3).
