Constant Velocity Joint: Service and Repair

Replacing One Constant Velocity Joint Of Output Shaft

Remove output shaft.

Remove clip securing seal to velocity joint (1).

Remove clip securing seal to shaft (2).

Pull seal back from joint.

Hold shaft securely and tap inner joint (1) to remove from shaft. 

Remove seal from shaft.

Slide new clip and seal onto shaft.

Pack joint with grease and fit to shaft, ensure joint contacts new ring on shaft. Press in ring (1) to groove, tap join onto shaft.
