Installation Note:

Refer to the procedure for installing fuel injector See: Fuel Injector/Service and Repair if a fuel injector (2) detached from the cylinder head (4)
while removing the high-pressure rail

Replace retainer (1)

-

Replace seal (6) and support ring (5), making sure support ring (5) is seated correctly

-

Make sure guide pin (3) of fuel injector (2) is correctly positioned in designated hole in cylinder head (4)

Assemble engine.
Check fuel system for leaks. See: Fuel Pressure/Testing and Inspection/Pressure Line Leak Test

Check function of DME.
