Interior - Console Lid Replacement Procedure

CENTER CONSOLE LID INSTALLATION

PURPOSE

When replacing a center console lid, be sure that it is installed correctly. Many replacement lids have been returned only because they were difficult to
install. If the console lid comes loose, do not assume that it is defective. Reinstall the lid as described in this bulletin.

The lid may become detached by the customer attempting to open the lid incorrectly, by pulling up the front end. Advise customers that the lid can only
be opened by pushing the side button.

PROCEDURE

1.

Open the console lid and locate the small knob in the center of the front section of the lid, which is an interlock release. This interlock release will
allow you to operate the side buttons.

Do not push the interlock release until Step 3.

2.

Open the lid and hold it at approximately 45 degrees.
