Thermostat/Water Outlet: Testing and Inspection

1. Check valve seating condition at normal room temperatures. It should seat tightly.
2. Check valve opening temperature and maximum valve lift. The valve opening temperature is 76.5° C (170° F) and the valve lift is more than 8

mm at 90° C (0.31 inch at 194° F).

3. Then check if valve closes at 5° C (9° F) below valve opening temperature.
