Power Brake Assist: Service and Repair

REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.

Remove master cylinder, refer to MASTER CYLINDER.

2.

Disconnect brake booster clevis pin on brake pedal.

3.

Disconnect check valve hose at power booster.

4.

On 1991-92 Sentra & NX Coupe models with GA16DE engine, remove intake manifold.

5.

On all models, remove booster attaching nuts, then brake booster.

6.

Reverse Procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Check and adjust output rod, refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES/OUTPUT ROD. 
b. Bleed system, refer to MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/HYDRAULIC BRAKES.

OVERHAUL

    These units cannot be overhauled, it must be replaced as a unit.
