Heater Control Valve: Service and Repair
Water Valve

1.

Disconnect battery ground cable and drain cooling system.

2.

Remove right hand lower dash panel, floor nozzle, and defroster duct, and disconnect heater duct.

3.

Disconnect coolant hoses at water valve, taking care not to drip coolant in passenger compartment.

4.

Disconnect control cable and mix door control rod at water valve.

5.

Remove screws securing valve and remove valve.

6.

Reverse procedure to install, then adjust control as outlined in "Control Cables, Adjust."
