If the negative battery cable is damaged or corroded, and cannot be removed and reinstalled correctly, disconnect the following fusible links (see
Figure 3):

When step 3 on page 12/26 of NTB96-052 is reached, perform the following procedure:
Place one ohmmeter probe in the harness side of the fusible link connector (connector 17M) and touch the probe to the B/W wire terminal. Place
the other ohmmeter probe to the negative battery post.
Follow the instructions for step 3 listed in NTB96-010a.
NOTE:
The other two fusible links may be re-connected for the harness resistance check procedure.

Reinstall the fusible links and continue with the campaign procedure.
