Turbocharger: Service and Repair

1.

Remove compressor and compressor bracket.

2.

Disconnect exhaust front tube and center cable.

3.

Remove brake master cylinder heat insulator.

4.

Disconnect air duct and hoses.

5.

Remove exhaust manifold connecting tube and heat shield plate.

6.

Disconnect oil lines from turbocharger, then remove turbocharger and exhaust manifold as an assembly.

7.

Remove attaching nuts and separate turbocharger from exhaust manifold, Fig. 4.

NOTE: Inspect exhaust manifold to turbo mating surface carefully. Distortion of the mating surface or internal flaking/cracking of manifold will require
the manifold to be replaced.

8.

Reverse procedure to install.
