VOLUNTARY RECALL CAMPAIGN

1984 PULSAR NX AND 300ZX HEADLIGHT SWITCH

AUTHORIZATION

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Tokyo, Japan authorizes Nissan Motor Corporation in U.S.A. (NMC) to conduct a recall campaign on 1984 Nissan Pulsar NX
and 300ZX model vehicles.

INTRODUCTION

There is a possibility that one or more of the headlights may not work because contaminated grease was used in the headlight switch. The malfunction of
the switch could cause a delay or failure in the operation of one or more lights when the headlight switch is turned on or the dimmer switch is operated.
Loss of headlight function could increase the risk of a vehicle collision.

All owners of the affected vehicles will be notified by letter to bring their vehicle to a Nissan/Datsun dealer for a free inspection and if necessary,
replacement of the headlight switch. A copy of the owner's letter is shown on page 8/10 for your information.

IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

The Department of Transportation has assigned identification number 85V-21 to the campaign. This number must appear on all communications and
documentation of any nature dealing with the campaign.

NOTE:

The number to the right of the bulletin date is the number sequence of the documents published for this campaign.

DEALER RESPONSIBILITY

It is the dealer's responsibility to inspect and if necessary, replace the headlight switch assembly of each vehicle falling within the afffected VIN
range of this campaign which for any reason enters his service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by
transient (tourist) owners and vehicles on dealer used car sales lots.

2.

The dealer must install the underhood label (Figure 1), next to the existing Emission Control Information label, when the correction has been
completed.

This vehicle has been corrected under Recall Campaign 85V-21 in accordance with 49 CFR Part 573.
