Slide the rack out of the cylinder assembly.

Slide the inner tube assembly off the rack. Be careful not to lose the plastic inner tube collar on the inner tube assembly (Figure 10).

Use the Pinion Bearing Race Remover J25749-A to remove the old oil seal and back-up collar from the inner tube assembly (Figure 11).

Use a large, flat blade screwdriver to pry the old pinion housing oil seal out of the pinion housing (Figure 12).
18.
Remove and discard the following parts:

Oil seal from inner tube
^
Oil seal from pinion housing
^
Oil seal in rear housing cover (press out with suitable tool)
^
O-ring on rear housing cover
^
O-ring in rear housing
^
2 O-rings on cylinder assembly
