Remove four torx bolts using an 8 mm socket (Figure 6). Carefully twist off rear housing.

Lift out pinion assembly, two thrust washers and thrust needle bearing from pinion housing (Figure 7).

Use Cylinder Lock Nut Wrench J35995 to loosen the cylinder end housing lock nut, then the pinion housing lock nut (Figure 8).

Remove the cylinder end housing and rack bushing from the cylinder assembly.

Remove the cylinder assembly, inner tube, and rack from the pinion housing (Figure 9).
