SERVICE INFORMATION

The audio head-unit mounting screws may be difficult to remove on some vehicles. Improved mounting screws (strengthened material) have been
applied to March, 1993 production.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

If the head-unit mounting screws are difficult to remove, please use a screwdriver and wrench with 121-154 lbs. (55-70 Kg) of downward force (see
illustration). If this method is unsuccessful, use an automatic center punch with a hammer to loosen the screws (Automatic center punch is available from
Matco -- # CP79). When installing the replacement head-unit, use the countermeasure screw listed.
