1. Raise and support vehicle, then drain engine oil and remove engine undercover.
2. Remove oil filter and bracket, then the engine rear gussets.
3. Disconnect A/C tube clamps, then the steering column lower joint.
4. Remove tension rod attaching bolts, then the transverse link bolts.
5. Place a suitable transmission jack under suspension member, then hoist engine with slingers.
6. Remove suspension member attaching bolts, engine mounting bolts, then slowly lower transmission jack.
7. Remove oil pan bolts, then the oil pan.
8. Reverse procedure to install, noting following:

a. Remove all liquid gasket from oil pan and cylinder block mating surfaces.
b. Apply sealant to front cover gasket and rear oil seal retainer gasket.
c. Apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket to mating surface of oil pan.
d. Torque bolts 1-12 to 12-15 ft. lbs. and bolts 13-18 to 55-77 inch lbs. in order, Fig. 18.
e. Wait at least 30 minutes before refilling engine oil.
