BROKEN EXHAUST MANIFOLD STUD

APPLIED MODELS:
Only Those Equipped w/VG30E Engine

SERVICE INFORMATION:

The exhaust manifold stud has been changed for improved durability. Use the following procedure to repair vehicles which exhibit excessive exhaust
noise due to exhaust manifold stud breakage.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1.

Remove the exhaust manifold on the side of the engine with broken stud(s). (Figure 1) For additional information, refer to the EM Section of the
appropriate Service Manual.

2.

Replace the broken stud(s) and the front and rear studs DWI using the improved part, P/N 14065-V5003.

3.

Replace the exhaust manifold gasket and the exhaust manifold with new parts. Refer to the EM Section of the appropriate Service Manual for
proper torque values for the fasteners. Refer to the Parts Catalog/Microfiche for applicable P/N's.
