Inhibitor Switch: Service and Repair

1. Place manual valve in Neutral (vertical position).
2. Remove adjustment cover screw.
3. Loosen switch attaching screws.
4. Using suitable alignment pin, move switch until pin falls into hole in rotor, Fig. 3.
5. Tighten attaching bolts, then while moving selector lever through all gear ranges, check switch for continuity as shown in Fig. 4.
6. Compare results with Fig. 5.
7. If switch does not operate as specified, replace switch.
