PRESS DOWN on the tabs shown in Figure 14

Remove the Amplifier from the vehicle.

Re-Assembly

20.

Install the new Audio Amplifier, making sure the wire harnesses are:

Securely reconnected (connector snapped in place) to the Amplifier unit.

Properly routed to prevent pinching, rubbing, or chaffing.

21.

Re-install all components in the reverse order you removed them.

22.

Re-connect the negative battery cable.

23.

Re-program all radio station presets.

24.

Re-set the clock.

Check Audio Operation

25.

Confirm the audio system operates properly.

Render Old Amplifier Useless (make it un-useable)

CAUTION:

Use suitable hand and eye protection when performing the next step.

To prevent the old Amplifier from being re-used, use a hammer to break the connectors on the Amplifier (see Figure 15).
