Check Amplifier Part Number

12.

Check the part number on the Audio Amplifier label (see Figure 13).

If the part number is 28060-CE400, this bulletin does NOT apply.

If the part number is NOT 28060-CE400, replace the Audio Amplifier. Refer to the Audio Amplifier Replacement Procedure.

NOTE:

You may have to remove the Amplifier from its mounting bracket to fully see the part number. Refer to steps 5 and 6 under Audio Amplifier
Replacement Procedure to remove the bracket.

AUDIO AMPLIFIER REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

Preliminary Steps

1.

Record all radio station presets.

2.

Roll down both front windows.
Reason: When the battery is disconnected (step 4 below) the window will not automatically adjust down slightly when you try to open the door.
See Nissan Technical Bulletin NTB02-072 for more details (if needed).

3.

Make sure the ignition key is in the OFF position.

4.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
