Remove the Spare Wheel/Tire Cover (see Figure 3).

Remove the Spare Wheel/Tire Hold-Down Screw (see Figure 4a), then remove the Spare Wheel/Tire and place it in a clean, safe location (see
Figure 4b).

PULL UP the Rear Hatch Molding to a point just forward of the Rear Body "Cross Member" (Strut Tower Brace). See Figure 5.
