Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 4.
NO - Replace audio unit.  See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Radio/Stereo/Service and Repair/Removal And
Installation/Bose Audio.
4.CHECK STEERING SWITCH
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Check steering switch.  See: Steering Switch Signal A Circuit (TEL Adapter Unit To Audio Unit)/Component Inspection.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - INSPECTION END
NO - Replace steering switch.  See: Service and Repair/Removal and Installation/Bose Audio/Without Navigation.

Component Inspection

STEERING SWITCH SIGNAL A CIRCUIT (TEL ADAPTER UNIT TO AUDIO UNIT)

Component Inspection

Measure the resistance between the steering switch connector.

Diagnosis Procedure

STEERING SWITCH SIGNAL B CIRCUIT (TEL ADAPTER UNIT TO AUDIO UNIT)

Description

-

Transmits the steering switch signal to audio unit.

-

Transmits the steering switch signal to audio unit through TEL adapter unit.

STEERING SWITCH SIGNAL B CIRCUIT (TEL ADAPTER UNIT TO AUDIO UNIT)

Diagnosis Procedure
