^ The oil pump will not be reused.

^ Make sure to remove the oil pump gasket (see Figure 36). It may be stuck to the oil pump.

Discard the gasket as it will not be reused.

9. Remove the oil pump cover and plate by removing the seven (7) bolts (see Figure 37).

NOTES:

^ The bolts will be reused.

^ Do not remove the lathe cut seals. They will be re-used.
