Brake Drum: Service and Repair

WARNING:  CLEAN BRAKES WITH A VACUUM DUST COLLECTOR TO MINIMIZE THE HAZARD OF AIRBORNE PARTICLES OR
OTHER MATERIALS.

Rear Drum Assembly

REMOVAL

1. Ensure parking brake lever is released completely. Release parking brake lever fully, then remove drum. If drum is hard to remove, the following

procedures should be carried out.

Remove plug. Then push down stopper to back plate to make clearance between brake shoe and drum as shown.

Rotate adjuster to shorten if necessary.
