Spray a thin layer of Heavy Duty Rust Preventative (999MP-A6000) into the roof panel area at the slider door guide rail attaching
screws (Figure 7). Direct the spray toward the front of the vehicle and use precaution to avoid overspray.

NOTE:

The seat belt motor should be removed or covered with a cloth until the rust preventative dries to prevent it from getting
into the motor.

Test drive vehicle to determine if the noise still occurs.

a.

If noise is eliminated, reassemble vehicle.

b.

If noise still occurs, continue.

Remove the four fasteners shown below (figure 8). Spray a thin layer of rust preventative into the B-pillar at the attaching holes and at
the area indicated in the illustration.

NOTE:

The seat belt motor should be removed or covered with a cloth until the rust preventative dries to prevent it from getting into the
seat belt motor.

Test drive vehicle to see if the noise still occurs:

a.

If noise is eliminated, reassemble vehicle.

b.

If the noise can still be heard, contact the FIXS Hotline for further assistance.
