SERVICE INFORMATION

Some 1990 Axxess vehicles may have air conditioning switches (Figure 1) that do not fully engage. In some cases, this has caused the air conditioner
compressor to shut off intermittently, especially when the vehicle is driven on rough roads. In addition, the A/C ON light may also go out under these
conditions. This incident is caused when the switch is not completely plugged into the harness connector during installation.

SERVICE PROCEDURRE

To ensure complete switch-to-connector contact, push the switch until it is flush with the surrounding fascia panel (Figure 2). It may be necessary to
wiggle the switch from side to side to avoid fascia panel interference with switch operation.
