Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair harness or connector.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - Replace BCM.  See: Body and Frame/Body Control Systems/Body Control Module/Service and Repair/With Intelligent Key System/Removal
And Installation (with Intelligent Key system) or See: Body and Frame/Body Control Systems/Body Control Module/Service and Repair/With
Intelligent Key System/Removal And Installation (without Intelligent Key system).
NO - Replace driver side door switch.  See: Body and Frame/Locks/Power Locks/Service and Repair/Removal and Installatio/With Intelligent Key

Diagnosis Procedure

1.CHECK SEAT BELT WARNING LAMP
1. Turn ignition switch ON.
2. Check the operation of the seat belt warning lamp in the combination meter.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 2.
NO - GO TO 4.
2.CHECK BCM OUTPUT SIGNAL
Check if the seat belt reminder warning chime is activated by performing BCM active test.  See: Scan Tool Testing and Procedures/CONSULT-III
Function (BCM-Buzzer)/With Intelligent Key System.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - INSPECTION END
NO - GO TO 3.
3.CHECK COMBINATION METER INPUT SIGNAL
Check if buzzer switches to proper condition (On/Off) on data monitor of combination meter.  See: Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and
Procedures/CONSULT-III Function/CONSULT-III Function

Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - Replace combination meter.  See: Instrument Cluster / Carrier/Service and Repair/Removal And Installation.
NO - Replace BCM.  See: Body and Frame/Body Control Systems/Body Control Module/Service and Repair/With Intelligent Key System/Removal
And Installation (with Intelligent Key system) or See: Body and Frame/Body Control Systems/Body Control Module/Service and Repair/With
Intelligent Key System/Removal And Installation (without Intelligent Key system).
4.CHECK SEAT BELT BUCKLE SWITCH (DRIVER SIDE) CIRCUIT
Perform the check for the seat belt buckle switch (driver side) circuit.  See: Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Seat Belt Buckle Switch Signal
Circuit/Diagnosis Procedure.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES  - GO TO 5.
NO - Repair harness or connector.
