Tail Lamp: Testing and Inspection

PARKING, LICENSE PLATE, SIDE MARKER AND TAIL LAMPS ARE NOT TURNED ON

Description

The parking, license plate, tail, rear side marker lamps and each illumination are not turned ON in any condition.

Diagnosis Procedure

1.COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION
Check the combination switch.  See: Body and Frame/Body Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures/With
Intelligent Key System.
Is the combination switch normal?
YES  - GO TO 2.
NO - Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
2.CHECK TAIL LAMP RELAY REQUEST SIGNAL INPUT
CONSULT-III DATA MONITOR
1. Select "TAIL & CLR REQ" of IPDM E/R data monitor item.
2. With operating the lighting switch, check the monitor status.

Is the item status normal?
YES  - GO TO 3.
NO - Replace BCM.  See: Body and Frame/Body Control Systems/Body Control Module/Service and Repair/With Intelligent Key System/Exploded
View.
3.TAIL LAMP CIRCUIT INSPECTION
Check the tail lamp circuit.  See: Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Tail Lamp Circuit/Component Function Check.
Is the tail lamp circuit normal?
YES  - Replace IPDM E/R.
NO - Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
