LOW-PRESSURE FLEXIBLE HOSE : Removal and Installation
CAUTION:
Perform lubricant return operation before each refrigeration system disassembly. However, if a large amount of refrigerant or lubricant is
detected, never perform lubricant return operation. See: Fluids/Refrigerant Oil/Service and Repair/Perform Lubricant Return Operation.
REMOVAL
1. Use a refrigerant collecting equipment (for HFC-134a) to discharge the refrigerant. See: Fluids/Refrigerant/Service and Repair/Recycle
Refrigerant.
2. Remove upper torque rod (RH). See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Exploded View.
3. Remove mounting nut (A), and lower dash insulator (1) a position without the hindrance for work.
4. Remove the mounting bolt and nut installed in low-pressure flexible hose from the vehicle.
5. Remove mounting bolt (A), and then disconnect low-pressure flexible hose (1) from expansion valve.
CAUTION:
Cap or wrap the joint of the A/C piping and expansion valve with suitable material such as vinyl tape to avoid the entry of air.
6. Remove mounting bolt (A), and then disconnect low-pressure flexible hose (1) from the compressor.
