15. Replace the two (2) lip seals with new ones (see Figure 8).

Do not reuse the old lip seals.

Use petroleum jelly or equivalent to keep the new lip seals in place during reassembly.

16. Carefully install the new valve body as follows:

a. Remove the manual valve from the valve body before installation.

b. Lift the valve body up into the transmission with the manual shaft sliding through its hole, AND fitting the upper fork of the shift link around the

pin at the same time (see Figure 9).
