Constant Velocity Joint Boot: Testing and Inspection

FRONT DRIVE SHAFT BOOT

Inspection

INSPECTION AFTER INSTALLATION
Check the following items, and replace the part it necessary.
-

Move joint up/down, left/right, and in the axial directions. Check for motion that is not smooth and for significant looseness.

Check boot for cracks, damage, and leakage of grease.

Check wheel sensor harness for proper connection. See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Wheel Speed
