Step 1: Tire Pressure and Front End Alignment

BRAKE PULL DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

NOTE:

This bulletin updates previously issued Technical Bulletin BR87-002/TB87-046 by including corrected tire pressures and additional Applied
Model information. Make note of this bulletin on page BR-1 in your copy of the 1987 Technical Bulletin Book.

APPLIED MODELS: 1986.5-1990 Truck, 1987-1990 Pathfinder

SERVICE INFORMATION

If a 1986.5-1990 Truck or a 1987-1990 Pathfinder vehicle exhibits a mild pull during braking, use the following service procedure to diagnose and
correct this condition.

SERVICE PROCEDURE OUTLINE

Step 1:

Check and adjust pressure in all 4 tires.

Check and adjust front end alignment.

^

Road test.

Step 2:

Adjust parking brake system.

^

Road test.

Step 3:.

Perform brake rotor and pad break-in procedure.

Road test.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

Step 1: Tire pressure and Front End Alignment - Unequal tire pressures from side-to-side can contribute to brake pull. Set tire pressures as indicated on
the following page:
