Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair
Front Wheel Bearing

1.

Raise and support vehicle, remove wheels.

2.

Remove caliper without disconnecting brake line.

3.

Remove wheel hub cap, cotter pin, wheel bearing locknut.

4.

Remove wheel hub, rotor and wheel bearings from spindle, Fig. 7.

5.

Remove rotor and bearings from hub. Inspect components for wear and/or damage, replace as necessary.

6.

Using a suitable tool, remove bearing races, if necessary, from hub assembly.

7.

Reverse procedure to install.
