Headlamp: Adjustments

When performing headlamp aiming adjustment, use an aiming machine, aiming wall screen or headlamp tester. Aimers should be in good repair,
calibrated and operated according to their operation manuals.
Before performing aiming adjustment, make sure of the following:

CAUTION:

^  Keep all tires inflated to correct pressures.
^  Place vehicle on level ground.
^  See that vehicle is unloaded (except for full levels of coolant, engine oil and fuel, and spare tire, jack, and tools). Have the driver or equivalent

weight placed in driver's seat.

Low Beam

LOW BEAM

1.  Turn headlamp low beam ON.
2.  Use adjusting screws to perform aiming adjustment.
^  First tighten the adjusting screw all the way and then make adjustment by loosening the screw.

Low Beam

^  Adjust headlamps so that upper edge and left edge of high intensity zone are within the acceptable range as shown at left.
^  Dotted lines in illustration shown center of headlamp.

"H": Horizontal center line of headlamps.
"WL": Distance between each headlamp center.
