Then remove the ABS sensor from the rear axle housing by carefully rotating it by hand to loosen it (see Figure A1).

If the sensor feels stuck in the axle housing, carefully rotate the sensor with a 22 mm open-end wrench to free it.
CAUTION:
Do NOT pull on the sensor by the wire.
NOTE:
It you break a bolt(s) when removing the ABS sensors, perform "Procedure F: ABS Sensor Broken Bolt Removal" after steps 3 and 4, below.

Remove and discard the old 0-ring from the ABS sensor (see Figure A2).
NOTE:
Some vehicles may already have white sealant. Carefully remove all traces of this sealant from the sensor and the hole in the axle.
