Press the grease seal until it is fully seated (see Figure E30).

CAUTION

Do NOT exceed 0.9 ton press load.

Re-Install Axle Shaft

Place the backing plate assembly on the "Hub and Bearing Assembly Support" special tool # J-46215-7 (see Figure E31).

35. Remove the plastic insert from the new axle bearing assembly (see Figure E32).
