Nissan and Datsun Maxima workshop manuals
Nissan Maxima at a glance: 13 manuals, covering 1986 to 2007 models, with engines from 3.0 to 3.5 litres. Engine and chassis codes covered: VQ30DE, VG30E, VQ35, VE30DE, VQ35DE.
About the Maxima
The Maxima was Nissan's flagship saloon in North America, launched for 1982 as the Datsun Maxima and sold until 2023. Nissan marketed the third generation as the "4DSC", a four-door sports car. The fourth generation's VQ30DE V6 began the VQ engine's long run on Ward's 10 Best Engines list. North American production moved to Smyrna, Tennessee, for 2004.
What these manuals cover
- 1986–1990 (second and third generations): the 3.0-litre SOHC V6 (VG30E), in sedan and wagon.
- 1992 (third generation): the 3.0-litre DOHC V6 (VE30DE).
- 1997–2001 (fourth and fifth generations): the 3.0-litre VQ30DE V6.
- 2002–2007: the 3.5-litre VQ35 V6.
Tip: the Maxima and the Infiniti I30 are both versions of the Nissan Cefiro, so the I30 manuals with the VQ30DE V6 cover a closely related car.
