Sight Glass: Description and Operation

Checking Charged Refrigerant - Work Procedure Chart

WORK PROCEDURE

The amount of refrigerant charged into the system can be observed through the sight glass by watching the flow of the refrigerant and by reading
the high pressure and low pressure manifold gauges under the following conditions: 

CONDITIONS

^  Doors:  Close completely.
^  Window glasses:  Close completely.
^  Intake door position:  RECIRC
^  Mode door position:  VENT
^  Blower fan:  HI
^  TEMP control:  Optional (Set so that intake air temperature is 30 to 35°C (86 to 95°F).
^  AIR CON switch:  ON
^  Engine speed:  Approx. 1,500 rpm
