Removal and Installation

REMOVAL 

CAUTION:

The rotation of the driver air bag spiral cable is limited. If the power steering gear must be removed, set the front wheels in the
straight-ahead direction. Do not rotate the steering column while the steering gear is removed.

Remove the steering wheel and spiral cable before removing the steering lower joint to avoid damaging the SRS spiral cable.

1. Remove the two front tires with power tool.
2. Remove cotter pin and nut. Discard cotter pin.

3. Disconnect the outer tie-rod ends using Tool.

Tool number: HT72520000 (J-25730-A)

4. Disconnect the outer stabilizer bar ends with power tool. 
5. Remove the stabilizer bracket rear bolts and loosen the front bolts with power tool.
