SERVICE INFORMATION

If an applied vehicle has slow or delayed shifting from first to second gear or from second to third gear (particularly at one-half throttle or greater
application) refer to the Service Procedure listed below to properly diagnose and repair the vehicle.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Confirm the incident exists.

2.

Remove the A/T oil pan and verify that there is no debris and that the fluid is not burnt.

3.

Replace the solenoid valve assembly with the new one listed in the Parts Information section of this bulletin. Refer to the "Solenoid Valve
Assembly Replacement" procedure listed.

4.

Road test the vehicle to check the A/T shifting.

A.

If the A/T slippage incidents are eliminated, the repair is complete.

B.

If "First to Second" gear slippage is not eliminated, replace the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with the new one listed in the Part
Information section of this bulletin.

NOTE:

If any other driveability incidents occur, other than first-to-second and second-to-third gear slippage, refer to the service manual for diagnosis
and repair of the All assembly.

Solenoid Valve Assembly Replacement

IMPORTANT:

Maintain absolute cleanliness when working on or handling any of the internal transaxle components. Use lint-free rags and make sure dirt and debris
do not come in contact with any of the internal transaxle components.

Record the radio presets.

2.

Ensure the ignition key is in the OFF position.
