Nylon Washer

Rattle Noise Of Wind Deflector

The clearance between the wind deflector and the support arms has been reduced by adding a nylon washer since 3/85 production.  Vehicles built prior
to the change which exhibit a rattle noise from this point should have a nylon washer installed (Figure 6).  This washer must be locally sourced.

Wind Noise From Sun Roof Weatherstrip

Beginning with 1/86 production, the weatherstrip has been widened by 0.5 mm to produce a tighter seal.  Vehicles built prior to this change can be
improved by the following procedure.

Reglue any loose sections of roof protector.  Use trim cement from 3M or equivalent.
