SERVICE INFORMATION

Cartridge type shock absorbers are now available as service replacement parts for the Applied Models listed above. These shock absorbers are designed
specifically for use with the rear strut suspension assemblies used on these models (Figure 1).
FEATURES

The oil-filled design (with outer tube) makes it easier to replace component parts than on the previously used design.

Draining air from the shock absorber is unnecessary.

^

Metering and refilling oil are eliminated.

^

The new design permits easier handling, decreasing service repair time.

REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE

1.

Remove and disassemble the strut assembly. Refer to Section RA of the applicable Service Manual.
