8. Slide the evaporator (1) toward the right side of the vehicle, and then remove the intake sensor (2).

INSTALLATION
Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:
-

Replace the O-ring with a new one. Apply a coat of compressor oil to the O-ring prior to installation.

Install the intake sensor in the same position as the removed intake sensor when replacing the intake sensor.

Do not rotate the bracket insertion part when removing and installing the intake sensor.

-

Check for refrigerant leakage when charging refrigerant.

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery cable from the negative terminal after setting the temperature (passenger side) 18°C (60°F).
2. Collect the refrigerant with refrigerant collecting equipment (for HFC134a).

3. Remove the mounting bolts (A), and then disconnect the low-pressure pipe (1) and high-pressure pipe (2) from the expansion valve.

CAUTION:
Seal the connecting points of the expansion valve and pipe with caps, vinyl tape, or a similar item to prevent them from being exposed to the
atmosphere.
4. Remove the blower unit. Refer to See: Blower Motor/Service and Repair/Blower Unit/Exploded View/With 7 Inch Display.

5. Remove the mounting screws (A), and then remove the foot duct (right) (1).
6. Disconnect the air mix door motor (passenger side) connector.
