Removal and Installation

REMOVAL
1. Remove tires power tool.
2. Remove front exhaust tube. Refer to See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust System/Service and Repair/Exploded View.
3. Remove rear propeller shaft from transfer. (AWD models) Refer to See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Drive/Propeller Shafts, Bearings and

Joints/Drive/Propeller Shaft/Service and Repair/Procedures.

4. Remove lock plate. Refer to See: Brakes and Traction Control/Hydraulic System/Brake Hose/Line/Service and Repair/Front/Exploded View.
5. Remove wheel sensor harness from strut assembly. Refer to See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Wheel

Speed Sensor/Service and Repair/Wheel Sensor/Front Wheel Sensor/Exploded View.

6. Disconnect power steering solenoid valve harness connector. Refer to See: Steering/Steering Gear/Service and Repair/Removal and

Replacement/Removal and Replacement.

7. Remove steering outer socket from steering knuckle. Refer to See: Steering/Steering Gear/Service and Repair/Overhaul/Exploded View.
8. Remove stabilizer connecting rod.
