5. Inspect both the transfer assembly and engine block for contact marks where shown in Figure 1-3.

NOTE:

Figure 3 example photos used blue dye for easier contact mark identification only.

a. If contact marks are found replace the transfer assembly.

b. If no contact marks found, reseal the transfer assembly (go to Reseal Transfer Assembly).
