Removal And Installation

REVISED ALTERNATOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

VEHICLE APPLICATION: 2003-2005 Murano

This revised procedure is different than the one currently in the 2003, 2004 and 2005 Murano Service Manuals. For additional information,
please refer to: TSB: 04-130 of 11/04/2004.

Removal:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the engine undercover, using power tools.
3. Remove the engine right side (passenger side) undercover.
4. Remove the cooling fan.
5. Remove the exhaust manifold cover and three-way converter cover (left side).
6. Remove the engine main harness (left side) clip.
7. Remove the oil pressure switch harness clip and connector.
8. Remove the air conditioner compressor switch harness connector.
9. Remove the alternator and air conditioner compressor belt.

10. Remove the idler pulley.
11. Remove the alternator mounting nut using power tools.
