Idle Speed: Adjustments

1.

Start the engine and warm it up until the water temperature indicator points to the middle of the gauge.

2.

Operate the engine at 2000 rpm for 2 minutes under no load.

3.

Race the engine 2 or 3 times under no load, then check the idle speed.
Idle speed should be:
M/T 800 ± 50 rpm.
A/T 700 ± 50 rpm (in "D" position).
If not proceed to step 4.

Adjust the idle speed by turning idle adjusting screw.
