Interior - Popping Noise From Rear of Headliner

POP NOISE AT HEADLINER REAR CLIPS

APPLIED VEHICLE:
2005 Pathfinder (R51)

APPLIED VIN:
Vehicles built before 5N1AR*8**5C713711

APPLIED DATE:
Vehicles built on or before November 3, 2004

IF YOU CONFIRM:

An applied vehicle has a pop noise at the Headliner Rear Clips (see Figure 1).

ACTION:

Remove the Headliner Clips.

^

Remove interior dome light and use dome light opening to pull headliner away from metal support in roof.

^

Add Silicone Grease (P/N 999MP-AB002) to all 4 sides of the metal support surface which face the headliner.

Re-install the Headliner Clips.

Refer to the Service Procedure for details.
