REFERENCE:

CLASSIFICATION:

DATE:

TITLE:
1996-99 PATHFINDER STEERING SHIMMY
APPLIED VEHICLE:
1996-99 Pathfinder (R50)
SERVICE INFORMATION
If a 1996-99 Pathfinder exhibits steering shimmy while driven at speeds between 60 and 70 MPH (without braking), the cause may be out-of-balance
front or rear tires/wheels and/or insufficient steering rack sliding force adjustment.
NOTE: Steering shimmy is defined as a constant left to right or rotational motion in the steering wheel without applying the brakes. Up and down
vibration of the steering wheel is not considered steering shimmy.
