Fuel Pressure Release: Service and Repair

    Air should be bled from the fuel system whenever it is opened or repaired.

1.

Remove cap that covers priming pump, 2, and loosen air vent screw, 1, Fig. 25.

2.

Turn priming pump counterclockwise to engage.

3.

Operate priming pump up and down observing air vent until no further air is observed.

4.

Tighten air vent screw, push and turn pump clockwise, and install priming pump cap.
